Paul Beals was born and raised in Marshalltown and graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1984. He is a graduate of Iowa State University where he earned a BA degree in Economics. After several years in operations management with GE Capital, Paul returned to Marshalltown and entered the field of banking, most recently as Senior Vice President with Farmers Savings Bank. He has been very active in the community serving on various boards and committees. He is currently serving on the Board of the Community Y, a member of the Noon Optimist Club, an active member and Sunday school teacher at First United Methodist Church and serves on Marshalltown Downtown development committees. He is also very involved with his children's activities, supporting Marshalltown schools, coaching softball and helping with the Community Y youth swim team. Paul and his wife Jennifer have been married 14 years and have four children: Samantha, Mackenzie, Zoe and Carson.
